Starting 2016, the ENVS Program is promoting our students as scholars and commentators on environmental issues via a new public website, ds.lclark.edu/envx/ (Environment Across Boundaries). For those of you who are ENVS students but not ENVX editors, we would really appreciate if you would nominate your own (public) content, including one or more posts, a project, or your whole DS site. To so this:
- First, you need to become a contributing user on the ENVX site, which is easy! Just go to this page to do so.
- Next, you will need to add a bookmarklet to your computer browser. This is what you’ll click on when you see content (e.g., one of your posts, or your DS site home page) you want to nominate for consideration. To add this bookmarklet, simply drag the Nominate This button you see at the bottom of this page to your bookmarklet bar, or copy the code you see below, then create a new bookmark in your browser and paste the code into the URL field.
- When you are on a page you want to nominate, click the Nominate This bookmarklet. After a few seconds, a small window will open. All you have to do is click the appropriate category at right (usually, ENVS Student Posts or ENVS Student Projects or ENVS Student Sites), then click Nominate at upper right. Click the small thumbnail image at right to expand if you’d like to see where to click.
Feel free to be in touch with us if questions.
