Have you ever wondered how our ENVS site compiles all ENVS student/faculty posts onto a word cloud and recent posts widget, as viewed on the home page? It’s all via the magic of RSS feeds—and a few WordPress plugins and online platforms. We compile general post feeds for all public DS sites of our ENVS students and faculty.
- If you would like to share your DS posts (for instance, in a particular ENVS course) with fellow students, use this Google Form (2017-18) to enter an RSS feed for your posts. Note that your posts must be public in order for the RSS feed to work!
- To view the Google Sheet that has collected this RSS feed information, see here (Lewis & Clark login required). You can then sort this Google Sheet to get only the feeds you need, so that you can routinely read and display them on your DS site. (See also below for our compiled feeds.)
- For general help on how to read and display posts by others, and for a broader background on RSS feeds, see this help page.
