Updates and Reflections for Week Two

Now that we are a little more than a week into school, it is time to update my schedule and reflect on my work habits. So far I have mostly stuck to my weekly goals and I have found that having daily goals helps a lot as well. While my work time on my thesis is not uniform each day, I have been putting in at least an hour and up to two and a half hours a day. The writing has been going well, although sometimes can be slow as I look into new sources. It is nice to have an earlier due date to work towards because I know I will just get busier and busier. I currently have about 15 pages double spaced for the top of the hourglass. I have been editing as I go, but these pages are by no means clean and ready to go. I have also found that I have slightly deviated from my outline and smooshed some of the context together because it ended up being very closely related. Either that or I found I could make a couple different points with the same example. Next week I will begin to write the middle of the hourglass and get about halfway through. I need to remember to ask whether it is okay to have preliminary results on my draft outline. I would rather have a good written product and draft results than finalized results and not so good writing. I think this is a choice I need to make very soon.

…and I will leave you with this!
