The General Education site was developed to support discussions among Lewis & Clark College of Arts & Science faculty as they initiated a long-awaited revision of the undergraduate general education curriculum. The site included a number of resources: a dynamic timeline of the history of Lewis & Clark general education with links to related documents; a set of studies and recommendations from the American Association of Colleges and Universities; a schematic map of GE models inspired by Paul Hanstedt’s General Education Essentials (2012); an annotated bibliography of selected literature (also available via a shared Zotero library); and an opportunity for faculty to comment on all resources.
