Students begin to learn digital scholarship skills as part of our introductory ENVS course, though their work at this point is private so that they can get comfortable with the digital medium (thus the site is login restricted; contact Jim Proctor to request access). This site, one of several constructed for ENVS 160 courses, served approximately 90 students from two course sections, who did weekly individual and three team assignment posts (over 450 total), some geolocated to crowdsource their scholarship. The site also included an embedded glossary of problematic terms in environmental studies, which were automatically highlighted in all student posts to offer greater awareness of their careful use of language.
