Situating the Global Environment was an Andrew Mellon Foundation-sponsored interdisciplinary scholarship initiative pursued by over 200 ENVS students and faculty in Lewis & Clark’s Environmental Studies Program from 2011 to 2014. The SGE site provided a platform for participants to document the process and products of their environmental scholarship, by means of two innovative approaches: situated research and social learning. In sum, over 140 interdisciplinary environmental research projects were documented on the SGE site, including nearly 2500 related posts.
