Okay. So maybe this was obvious, but I met with the head of the writing center and he recommended that I write my introduction. I just wrote up a draft, which I will definitely edit as I go, but it ended up being incredibly  illuminating. It gave me a chance to refocus and attempt to tell my story in a much shorter space. I was (and definitely still am) struggling with tackling such a large manuscript. I feel like I keep losing my point, or am trying to make too many to keep track of. I am dreading going back through and editing. I have been focused on getting words on a page, but I am worried that I haven’t been editing enough as I go. I tried to write my middle section with a little bit more organization, adding section headers as I went and I think it helped? I also just know more about this section so that could explain why it was easier to write in some ways.
Laying out the tasks I still need to accomplish is scary, but it also helps to direct me. I am going to lay these out in the order I will complete them….hopefully…
- Possibly write more about hybrid objects and the production process?
- Add section headers to my top of the hourglass
- Connect actors in spreadsheet
- Meet with Jim
- figure out specifics of importing the network analysis
- ask about which voice to use in methodology and how to transition
- Write instrument comparison
- Think about bottom of hourglass
