One artist that has inspired me the most is Richard D. James or more commonly known as Aphex Twin. Aphex Twin is a UK based electronic artist who is currently based out of Cornwall. To call Aphex Twin just an electronic artist would be an understatement. Aphex Twin has been a pioneer in early electronic music as well as the founding of ambient music. Aphex Twins music has always felt like it has been inspired by the place he has lived. The UK culture as well as the sounds of his area have inspired him to write many songs as well as include many unusual samples that wouldn’t be involved otherwise. My plan is to experience the UK and let it influence my music as it has inspired so many before. I also like the idea of meeting Aphex Twin, but you know we can all dream right?
