It is now almost the end of the program and after almost four months here I still hadn’t gone to Brick Lane. How is that possible. Well, after a hectic week of presentations and papers, I finally went there Sunday and man do I wish I had gone earlier, because Brick Lane is amazing. When I first got off at the tube stop I wasn’t sure if I was heading in the right direction. As I kept walking I started to see street art randomly on some walls, and the more I walked the more art that started to appear, until it was almost on every corner. The streets became more crowded as I entered the food and crafts stall area. There was so many different choices of international food and an amazing market place just full of energy and musicians playing on the streets. I walked around the area for a few hours, taking my time exploring almost every alleyway and taking pictures of every street art I saw. It’s a great area to explore with an interesting history and amazing street art that constantly changes and makes you reflect about the world around us.
