We just arrived in Agadir after our wonderful few days in the Canary Islands! We went to Tenerife, where we were able to learn more about fog harvesting, which is a component of our Sustainability and Development class. Unfortunately, we were not able to see the fog harvesting because of the bad weather, but a professor from the local university was able to give us a short lecture. Being in Spain was really fun, and it was a relief to get our passports re-stamped so we don’t have to worry about any visa issues. We stayed in a great hostel, took a historic tour of the area of La Laguna, and went hiking when the weather was good! It was a really great weekend, and a well needed rest.
Leaving Marrakech was emotional draining, as we had to say goodbye to our host families. The CLC had a large party for us, where we performed a skit and were able to properly say our goodbyes to Marrakech. We all wrote letters to our families in darija, and read them aloud. Unfortunately, I started crying like a toddler and had to switch the English. I absolutely adored my host family, andam looking forward to coming back!
