It’s officially halfway through our semester.
That went fast.
We got here at the beginning of January, which seems like far more than a month and a half ago – and we only have about a month and a half left (of classes, at least). I’m glad it’s gone by so quickly. Staying busy always helps. When we’re not at work or in class, the city is huge and has so much to offer (sometimes too much) – and of course there’s plenty of work to do for classes and for preparing for travel for break and after the program. The days we take to relax are more and more precious. Exploring the city (and the surroundings) is the most fun I’ve had in a while. I love exploring new places, and London is incredible. I wish we had more time to just go places. That being said, the classes are pretty cool. As a STEM major, I don’t take many humanities courses, so learning about social welfare and diasporas is totally abnormal, but it’s actually a fun departure from my norm.
We’ll say nothing about the internship, because I really just don’t want to talk about it.
I’m looking forward to seeing how the rest of the semester goes. It’ll be over before I know it, so I’m hoping I’m able to do everything I want to do, and make the most of it.
