I am feeling comfortable and purposeful at my internship, finding my place in London as we reach the midpoint of this study abroad experience. After spending about a month at my internship, students have begun to warm up to me, asking me specifically to help them with a task or to do them a favor. There are moments at my internship when I lose the sense of being in a foreign place. I feel so rewarded each day and have found myself rethinking ideas about the rest of my academic career and postgraduate steps. I feel special and warm when I see students dancing or smiling during the day. I am so inspired by art therapy and intensive interaction therapy and feel myself looking for ways to engage with these in the future. I have much to think about but am so grateful to this internship experience for giving me valuable career inspirations and look forward to the rest of my time here.
