On our first full day of Australia Biology Study Abroad, 2018, we were oriented to Sydney with a bus tour. What a treat to have an Israeli – Persian migrant as a tour guide in Australia! We were able to stop and see the world-renowned Sydney Harbor Bridge and Opera House, and to have a weepy moment at Mrs Macquerie’s chair. Despite extreme wind that made the sand a little dermabrasive, Bondi Beach is clearly a gorgeous spot. This was a great way to settle in, recover from jet lag and get excited about the experiences and opportunities ahead of us.
