For our last day in the Blue Mountains, we packed up all our stuff to get ready for the drive back to Sydney. Before we left the Blue Mountains, we went on a bush walk into the Grand Canyon. We started at the top and walked down into the valley, noticing how the vegetation and soil changed as we went deeper into the canyon. There were many steps and the weather was quite warm, but we made sure to bring lots of water! As we walked, we passed some small waterfalls and streams. We stopped to have lunch at the base of the canyon near a waterfall. What a gorgeous view! Once we had rested and eaten, we made our way back to the steps that would lead us out of the canyon. There were a lot of steps! Many breaks were taken to drink water and rest a little. But once we got to the top we felt so accomplished. There was a look out at the top where we could look down into the canyon and see how far we walked.

The waterfall where we stopped to have lunch. Taking a break by a stream.
