Class of 2016 | DS websiteMy name is Lydia Bleifuss and I am an environmental studies major at Lewis & Clark College. I grew up in Wisconsin but now am living between Portland, Oregon and Buena Vista, Colorado. My concentration focuses on surface water conflicts in newly industrialized countries. These countries are facing increasingly large problems with water management as their populations and economies expand, in combination with increasing climate variations. Transboundary basin water management has become a prominent focus of mine, in addition to hydropower development. My interests have most recently aligned with water issues in the Southwestern United States, China, Argentina, and Chile. |
Whether we realize it or not, environmental studies (ENVS) seems to infiltrate every aspect of our lives by drastically altering the way we think.
