RE: REMINDER: Collaborative Conservation Undergraduate Research Grant Opportunity – Katherine Bisbee II Fund of the OCF
_____________________________________________________________
As a reminder, the Alliance invites proposals from its member colleges and universities to fund creative conservation undergraduate research projects in Oregon. The Katherine Bisbee II Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation program supports proposals for innovative collaborative projects to conduct creative research in the area of conservation. I would like to highlight a few points included in the attached RFP:
- Two (2) $15,000 grants will be awarded in year one (2014-15);
- Collaboration Requirement – The intent is to actively engage as many Alliance faculty and students as possible from multiple member colleges with a business and industry partner. At least two member colleges/universities with one partner from business and industry (for this RFP the partner is Portland General Electric) must be actively involved in the design and implementation of any proposed project. PGE is able to support two (2) projects in 2014-15;
- Grant Administration – In the proposed project, one member institution must play a central role in the administration of the project. Grant funds will be awarded to one member institution, which is required to serve as fiscal agent for the grant.
Please contact me to facilitate an introduction with the PGE project liaison.
Due Date for Proposals: October 15, 2014
Please let me know if you have questions.
