Overview
Green Girl Land Development Solutions LLC (Green Girl) is seeking an intern to help create checklist tools and fact sheets for a Western Oregon Low Impact Development* guidance template. This template is being created in collaboration with the Oregon Environmental Council (OEC) and a technical advisory committee (TAC) made up of members representing diverse professional backgrounds and jurisdictions. Additional information on the guidance template can be found on the OEC website: http://goo.gl/nZOq7j
Work Products
Oversight of all work will be provided. Work products currently requested from TAC include:
- Construction Phase Handout: Aggregate and summarize detailed information into 1-2 page document, based on criteria provided
• Checklist tool: Information to show on each sheet of a plan set, based on existing plan set examples
• Flow chart of LID planning process based on existing narratives
Internship Duration
As TAC members review an existing document and provide feedback to Green Girl LDS & the OEC, additional desirable tools for regulators and development teams have been identified. The end date of the internship is open-ended, until the above work products have been completed. Based on mutual agreement between Green Girl LDS and the chosen internship candidate, the work period may be extended beyond the completion of the above work products to accommodate additional tasks/work products as identified by the TAC throughout their review process. This means that the potential for part-time work could extend into approximately July 2015.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate will:
• Currently be enrolled in a water resources related program at a college or university, which may include civil engineering, environmental science, landscape architecture, natural resources, planning and others
• Have good writing and communication skills
• Be well-versed in Word and Excel
• Have some experience in PowerPoint and AutoCAD or be willing to learn basic needed skills to create required work products
• Be detail oriented
