Description: BESThq (Business Executive Sustainable Training Headquarters), a growing collaborative business community and executive development center located in Beaverton, OR seeks a part-time (15-20 hrs/week) unpaid intern who desires a leadership opportunity among a community of business owners. A new Oregon Benefit Company, BESThq is committed to a measureable sustainable and social impact on community. Intern will have the opportunity to assist in developing action items for implementation of the BESThq Social Responsibility and Sustainability programs. Applicant will be one part of a multi-intern team focused on the growth and success of our small business community. The successful applicant MUST be able to work on a team of interns and business community members, have excellent communication skills, and creative, solutions focused nature.
Responsibilities:
- Review BESThq Social Responsibility and Sustainability Statements / Programs
- Review and Implement Oregon Benefit Company standards for environmental and social impact
- Conduct interviews with BESThq community members in an effort to gain insight into the interests of the community
- Identify 3 areas of focus for community impact
- Coordinate, promote and implement community events
- Work closely with intern team and supervisor(s) to accomplish team goals for community growth and opportunity
- Attend weekly team meetings and BESThq events (as schedule permits)
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
