March 6, 2015 (1 – 8 pm)
Templeton Campus Center – Thayer
Participating Lewis and Clark faculty, students, and staff are very pleased to announce that the Human-Animal Studies Collaboration will be hosting another exciting event on March 6th, 2015. Following the success of last year’s first human-animal studies conference at Lewis and Clark, this university-wide collaboration has only built momentum, and this year’s event promises to be as innovative and thought-provoking as the last. This year, following an introduction regarding the history of the collaboration and the cutting edge partnership between HAS collaborators and HEART (Humane Education Advocates Reaching Teachers), panels from the Graduate School of Counseling and Education, Undergraduate School of Arts and Sciences, and Law School will discuss the importance of human-animal studies and how this revolutionary area of research can bridge the gap between Lewis and Clark’s campuses while offering students an incredibly rich, diversified academic experience. Panel presentations will be followed by an engaging roundtable discussion on the future of this burgeoning collaboration and a networking reception of drinks and hour douvres. The event will conclude with a sit down dinner.
This event is free; however, capacity is limited. To reserve a space, please RSVP with “HAS Conference” in the subject line to ClaireHowe@lclark.edu.
