I am writing as the Director of Arizona State University’s one-year Master of Science and Technology Policy degree program.
I am particularly excited that we are able to offer this degree to a limited number of students in Western states at in-state tuition rates through the tuition reciprocity agreement of the WICHE Western Regional Graduate Program (http://wiche.edu/wrgp).
Some of what makes this degree particularly exciting and unique among Western universities include:
- We have designed it especially for students who want to pursue the rapidly growing array of professional careers at the interface between science and technology and other important aspects of society, including public policy, industry and management, education, and the public.

- Other highlights of the program include: a national caliber faculty; one of the world’s most innovative, interdisciplinary universities; unique internship opportunities; and a 2-week immersive capstone experience in Washington, DC.
Now in its sixth year, the Master of Science & Technology Policy degree is offered through the Consortium for Science, Policy & Outcomes, ranked again in 2014 as the #1 university-based science and technology think tank in the United States and in the top 10 in the world. Students have the opportunity to work with 30 of the field’s top faculty in a program with a 1-to-1 student-faculty ratio.
