East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District (EMSWCD) is seeking an Outreach Specialist! This temporary position oversees all aspects of Urban Lands Workshop coordination and management, serves as an integral team member for the program’s annual events, and maintains detailed records of program work and participant history. This position also promotes EMSWCD programs and offerings through a wide variety of outreach activities including but not limited to: annual events, educational workshops, presentations, tabling at community events, email marketing, social media and website communications.
The work ranges from routine administrative work and more technical database maintenance to very social dealings with partners and the public. The work requires a mix of communication skills, organizational/coordination skills and computer technical skills. The ideal candidate is computer proficient, has excellent communication and organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, a flexible and helpful personality, and an interest in natural resource conservation.
This position is temporary, and has an expected eight-month duration.
