A research opportunity recently came to my attention involving green roofs / eco-roofs. A Civil Engineer at the University of Portland is interested in water quality and how nutrients leach from the soil and are exported in the runoff, and possible rehabilitation methods. We could contribute alternative approaches, especially related to the socio-economic and political dimensions of ecoroof installation and maintenance.
