Campaign Internships for Our Environment, Our Democracy and Our Future
OSPIRG and Environment Oregon are currently hiring motivated students who want to make a difference to work with our staff on three pressing campaigns: stopping the overuse of antibiotics on factory farms, getting big money out of politics, and increasing Oregon’s solar production.
OSPIRG and Environment Oregon start with hard-hitting research on the issues and make the case for reform to our decision makers through advocacy. Just having the facts is often not enough, so we build power through grassroots organizing, coalition building, media work, and public education to achieve tangible results.
Our internship program gives students a firsthand look at the political process while working on all aspects of grassroots organizing. Interns work between 10-20 hours per week and have a specific internship plan tailored to their interests and skills. In addition, all interns work to build the grassroots support we need to win.
If you are interested in this opportunity you may apply online by midnight on Friday, February 5th, however early application is recommended. Please email bobbi@environmentoregon.org with any questions.
