Ash Creek Forest Management, LLC is a locally owned, ecological restoration services company dedicated to recovery of Pacific Northwest habitats. Since 1997, we have restored and managed thousands of acres of wetlands, riparian forests and woodlands, helping develop best management practices now used across the region. We pay our staff living wages and provide professional training and certification in plant identification, reestablishment and stewardship.
We are seeking a FORESTRY/ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION CREW LEADER with skills and experience to coordinate, and supervise the daily operation of our Ecological Restoration Crew.
Title: ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION CREW LEADER
Status: Full time
Salary: $40,000
Paid Leave: 160 Hours/ Calendar Year
Retirement: ACFM provides 5% of annual salary into IRA
Health Insurance: ACFM offers group coverage w/ $175 stipend
Location: Sites are located throughout the greater Portland Metro Area. Crew works out of the main office in Tigard, OR or satellite facility in Forest Grove, Oregon.
Job Description:
- Responsible for the work output of the Ecological Restoration Crew
- Coordinate, facilitate, and supervise the daily work of the Crew

Experience/Qualifications (Required):
- Team Management
- Knowledge of flora native to Western Oregon
- Knowledge and experience applying herbicide/ field repairing spray equipment
- Knowledge and experience operating/ field repairing chainsaws and brush cutters
- Ability drive work trucks and trailers with heavy loads
- Ability to work outdoors, across uneven terrain and during inclement weather
- Ability to safely lift 60 lbs.
- Valid drivers license
Experience/Qualifications (Desired):
- Chemical Applicator’s License (OR)
- Spanish/English language skills
- First AID/CPR certification
