Whether you’re building a career in international development or still testing the waters, interning with FSD will give you the substantial, hands-on experience you need to move forward.
Our approach allows you to jump right in and start doing real community development with the support and mentorship of our local staff. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all program, we create a custom placement for you that matches your skills and interests with the current needs and programming of a specific grassroots organization. We then give you the training and tools you need to quickly get the lay of the land, integrate with your host organization, and execute a project that contributes to the organization’s ongoing work in the community.
For Fall 2016, we’re looking for interns with background, skills, or interest in social entrepreneurship, health, microfinance, education, environmental sustainability, human rights, and gender equity.
