Hello ENVS,
A well-known electronic artist, Paul D. Miller (aka DJ Spooky), will be playing a live set at the World Forestry Center (near the Oregon Zoo) which features aerial footage of Oregon’s forests. DJ Spooky has a strong connection to Oregon and its ecology through a year long artist’s residency he did in the HJ Andrews Experimental Forest in the Cascades.
There will also be a forest ecologist to speak about Oregon’s forests. This show would be a great way for ENVS majors to learn about the intersections between art and the environment.
Here’s a link to the event.
