If our recent ENVS symposium and the Ray Warren Symposium got you fired up about issues connecting environmental studies with social justice, you may consider participating in one of the two alternative spring break trips this year.
Student Leadership Service is offering Spring Break Trips with a purpose where you can explore real world issues within their contexts whilst interacting with those affected and other members of the community. If you are interested in Environmental Justice issues such as gentrification, urban planning, and local development and policy you might love the Portland trip. If you are interested in Immigration & Education then consider the Tucson trip. Check out our page for more information and apply! Do not hesitate to contact SLS at leadserve@lclark.edu for more information.
