We are writing to announce the 7th Annual Pacific Northwest Water Research Symposium, hosted by the Oregon State University Hydrophiles, on March 6th-7th 2017. The purpose of this symposium is to foster connections between students and professionals across a variety of water resources fields. The symposium offers interactive learning opportunities through workshops, networking, and presentations of current student research in the fields of water resources science, engineering, and policy. This year’s keynote speaker will be Tom Byler, Director of the Oregon Water Resources Department. Graduate and undergraduate students from universities across the Pacific Northwest and beyond have the opportunity to share their research with a diverse audience. We extend a warm welcome to our Symposium!
Students can submit abstracts for an oral or poster presentation by January 15th. We accept outstanding student research at any phase in the research process. To receive updates directly, you can fill out the “Stay Informed!” tab of our website. Registration is free, and we offer travel grants and hosting with Oregon State University students.
Attached (below) is an announcement letter with more information on specific events and details about the Symposium. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. Thank you and we hope your research lab will be represented at the 2017 Symposium.
Sincerely,
The Symposium Planning Team
