I’m part of a team that is developing a simulation of the wholesale electricity market in India. The core of the simulation is an online role-playing game that mimics the decisions faced by energy distribution companies (“Discoms”) and energy generation companies (“Gencos”), in a market structure that is quite special to India.
I’m looking to conduct a 2-hour focus-group session on Thursday, Jan. 19, at 7 pm (room TBD), to get some feedback on the game interface. During the session, participants (working in teams) will engage in a simulation from the perspective of one of 3 Discoms, or one of 6 Gencos. No prior experience with electricity markets is needed.
Participants who stay for the whole session will be paid $40 in cash. Space is limited to 18 people, and the session will not be held with fewer than 9.
