Hi everyone,
As a final opportunity offered by the current HHMI grant, I will be offering a summer (4-5 weeks, starting right after CAS graduation) opportunity for CAS students (including ’17 grads) to engage in science education-related research projects. This is a paid opportunity, and I think I will be able to accept about 5 participants.
The specific topic of each project will be determined by the participant with my support. Some possible areas of work include:
1) further analysis of the data collected last spring on LC UG experiences and attitudes towards science and science education experiences (we have a rich dataset that could use more work!)
2) curriculum development
3) literature review of science education topics of interest
4) analysis of other publicly available data set on science participation/degree earning/etc.
5) classroom-based projects (in HS or MS classrooms)
6) other!
If you are interested, please contact me no later than February 27, 2017.
Thanks so much,
