Join Our Climate and Renew Oregon, local environmental and climate activist groups part of the Clean Energy Jobs campaign participating in Student Lobby Day in Salem, Oregon. They are looking to bring 2-3 bright students with them!
The Clean Energy Jobs campaign is devoted to holding polluters accountable and create clean energy jobs, all while protecting Oregon communities that are disproportionately affected by climate change.
The goal of the lobby day is to invite students, who are some of the most affected by climate change, to speak with state legislators about Senate Bill 557 and Senate Bill 748. The lobby day is a great lesson in civic engagement and will give young Oregonians an opportunity to speak with the elected officials who make decisions that affect their future. Youth Lobby Day is April 12, 2017.
