Dear students,
On behalf of the selection committee and the Pamplin Society of Fellows, I would like to extend my sincerest thank you for your nomination letters in the initial round of the 2017 Pamplin Society of Fellows Teacher of the Year Award.
The selection committee was touched to read the multiple stories and thoughtful reflections that you shared in your letters with regards to working with the faculty of the college. We received multiple nominations for over fifty faculty members this year. While the decision was particularly challenging, the committee has selected the following seven finalists, listed in alphabetical order:
Sepideh Bajracharya- Sociology and Anthropology
Eleonora (Nora) Beck- Music
Gordon Kelly- Classics
Molly Robinson Kelly- French
Elizabeth Safran- Environmental Studies
Sweta Suryanarayan- Mathematics
Tamily Weissman-Unni- Biology
Students that have taken a class or interacted significantly with any of the seven listed finalists are encouraged to submit a letter in support of this professor to further assist the committee in selecting this year’s Teacher of the Year. The link to submit can be found here, or by copying the following link into your browser:

Any questions regarding the selection process may be directed to Jackson Thein, committee chair, at jacksonthein@lclark.edu.
Sincerely,
Jackson Thein ‘18
