2017 Northwest Permaculture Convergence

Dear Environmental Studies Students,

Please join us for the 2017 Northwest Permaculture Convergence, Sept. 29 to Oct 1.

The Convergence is convenient – the Clark County Event Center, just off I 5 in Ridgefield. Load up a car with school pals.  Its only 20 minutes north of downtown.

Who will be interested?  Students! The Convergence will great way to expand horizons and learn about creative initiatives for living more green and resilient happening in Portland and the Northwest.  Ask your teachers for credit for attending!

Two keynote panels will focus on creating green and resilient homes, neighborhoods and communities. One keynote panel will be about place making, the other, a panel from diverse points of the community compass that will explore their overlapping common interests.

On Friday, Sept. 29, morning and afternoon, check out several fascinating examples of permaculture design ideals applied to the urban landscape.  Kailash, Cully Grove and Columbia eco villages along with selected sites in the Alberta Street area are pioneer examples of creating more green and resilient homes, neighborhoods, businesses and communities. The tours will be free and open to the public. Lots of great gardens to see! Here is a link to more info http://www.suburbanpermaculture.org/convergence-site-tours1.html
