Hello, Lewis & Clark Women in Science!
The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) has generously agreed to host the 2017 Women in Science Portland Annual Mixer! The date is set for Wednesday, November 8th from 530PM-800PM in OMSI’s fun and dynamic Turbine Hall. Similar to last year, we will have a networking game with prizes, as well as food, drinks for purchase, and a silent auction. All supports of women in STEM are welcome, and we offer a 50% student discount ($5 vs. $10).
Appetizers will be provided by Bon Appetit. Drinks for purchase will be available at the bar.
To promote our mission of enhancing networking and mentoring across career levels and career types, we are encouraging supporters of women in science and technology related fields of all career levels and types to join us on November 8th!
NETWORKING
To encourage attendees to meet new people, WIS will host a “bingo card” networking game with prizes that include:
- 2 sets of OMSI After Dark Tickets with an OMSI pint glass
- 3 Starbucks gift cards
- 2 copies of Ask For It by Linda Babcock and Sara Laschever
