U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley’s Portland office is currently looking for/accepting applications for interns during our Spring 2018 term! This flexible term starts sometime in March and goes through late May/early June. This is an unpaid position, however there is the opportunity to earn academic credit. Summer internships are usually highly competitive, with often up to 80 applicants (we accept around 10), however at the moment we do not have any applicants for the spring! This is partially due to a problem with the application, which doesn’t list a spring only term–when applying, select winter/spring, but find some way to specify that it is just a spring application (you can email me to let me know).
This job requires that you have time, a couple days per week, either a half day, or full day without classes to be here in the downtown office, located at Naito Pkwy and SW Salmon. We are used to working with students and can be flexible.
