CSUMB’s innovative Environmental Science Master of Science program prepares students for impactful careers through interdisciplinary training in applied science and technology in the context of environmental policy and management. Customize the program to meet your career goals by choosing the Thesis option or the Professional Internship option.
The two options share interdisciplinary, skills-based coursework emphasizing training in advanced technologies, hands-on research experiences, and partnerships with the community. The Professional Internship option culminates in a 400 hour internship and is typically completed in 4 semesters. The Thesis option involves an original work of research and culminates in a dissertation. Students in the thesis option typically graduate in 3.5 years.
