Capstone file(s): Show file | Show file
Providing access to reliable electricity is a critical step in the development process, as it can vastly improve a multitude of social and economic conditions. Developing countries such as Myanmar are facing increasing energy demands; an issue complicated by aging infrastructures and limited government capacity. This thesis and accompanying poster will explore Myanmar’s opportunity to achieve a mesolevel, cross-sector energy development approach, which could help it transition towards a low-carbon future. These systems are poised to increase the proliferation of community-based renewable energy projects, effectively aiding Myanmar's transition towards an inclusive, sustainable development model and the eventual implementation of a Smart Grid.
